[Naib Tehsildar Exam Analysis] HPPSC Naib Tehsildar (NT) Prelims Exam 2017 analysis held on 20th August, 2017

HPPSC conducted Naib Tehsiladar Prelims Exam on  20th August, 2017 at the various Centres in Himachal Pradesh. This year NT Prelims Exam was quite Easier than the previous Year as there were many direct easy questions, apart from that their. But Negative marking of 1/4th have made this exam trickier than previous years. So overall the Exam was easier to moderate. Questions were asked form various sections But there were some sections that dominated most like Himachal GK, Modern History and Geography etc.

Note : Some Questions may be included in more than one section

Sections Like Himachal Pradesh GK,  Modern History + Indian National Movement, Geo+ etc Dominated the Paper. HPPSC's NT paper mainly asks history part more so those who have better preparation in this part will do better than others. There were very less questions from Polity, Science and Sports sections this year. Apart from that this year they asked more factual based questions than previous year. Overall paper was easy and tricky, for the First timers it may be a kind of shocking experience but for the experienced players it was Easier and satisfying. 

How Many Will Qualify for Mains: 

Total Vacancies : 20 x 20 times = 400 Total Candidates

General Category : 12 x 20 = 240 Candidates

SC Category : 04 x 20 = 80 Candidates

ST Category : 01 x 20 = 20 Candidates

OBC Category : 03 x 20  = 60 Candidates


Possible Cut off Scenario :

Unpredictable at the moment this year because Negative marking scheme will come into play, so we can't compare cut offs of previous year with this year's.

Poll : I will add a Poll after Answer keys are released so that it can give us an idea of cut offs. Right now there is no point to add a poll at the moment because official keys will give better idea.
