[HP Allied Exam Review] HPPSC Himachal Pradesh Subordinate Allied Services Prelims Exam 2016 Review Held on 21th August 2016

HPPSC conducted Himachal Pradesh Subordinate Allied Services Prelims Exam 2015 on 9th August, 2015 at the various Centers in Himachal Pradesh. Exam was conducted for Total 71 Posts of various
departments.

This year HP Allied Exam 2016 Prelims was of moderate level. There were Total 200 Questions and
HPPSC kept the promise of asking questions from mentioned syllabus. Most of the Questions were factual; lots of dates, years, lots of people/places oriented questions.

Some Important Points :

• HP GK part was Game changer Section in this Exam as it consisted 60 Questions which Specifically asked about the facts/dates/places/people, Questions were not tough but were fact oriented only. For Example they Mainly asked many Questions on Rulers/Places related  They asked 50 Questions From Static Himachal GK part while 10 Questions were from Himachal Current Affairs. 
  Most of the Questions were answerable easily and 40-45 was very doable in this section if you just studied HP GK at least once.

• Apart from the HP GK Section, Current Affair Section consisted 60 Questions which are  more than last year (45) Most of them were answerable easily if you regularly read Newspapers or heard AIR Radio News or Watched News On TV.
• Polity Section consisted 20 Questions and most of them were easy except couple of confusing ones.
• Modern History was another decent section and easy one.
• In Geography Section Indian Geo. Dominated the section many questions were related about the places and related things. There were not many typical Geography questions and section was easily manageable.
• Socio-Economic Section was fact based section, so it was decent section; most of questions were answerable, few Guess work also needed in it.
• In Science n Technology section less questions were asked only 4-5 questions (that too from current) compared to last year (12) questions, No Static Questions form Physics, Chemistry, Life Sciences were asked, This was a surprise.
• There were just 04 Questions from Environment & Biodiversity.
• There were No Disaster Management questions this year.
• HPPSC's Gandhi Prem was limited to just 02 questions this year.
• Apart from these there were some miscellaneous questions. 

Answer Key : I am not Going to Solve this Paper now because I want you people to yourself do some Search So that you go through the many topics on Internet/Books and it will be helpful to learn many other topics/things related to those.

Possible Cut off Scenario:

Its not possible to predict the Accurate Cut off of this exam as Number of  Posts are less compared to the total number of applicants applied for this exam, But if we see the nature of Exam, it was of Moderate level and most of the people will easily score around 100-110 marks plus Guess Work (Tukke), So people getting  125 Marks ( -5/+5) in General Category certainly will have their chances.

General Category

Total Posts for General Category = 34
Total General Category Candidates that will Qualify for Mains = 34 x 20 = 680

General BPL Category = 07
General BPL Category Candidates that will Qualify for Mains = 07 x 20 = 140

General BPL Cut off Around 110 (-5/+5)

In OBC category Cut off will be around 115 Marks ( -5/+5). 

Total Posts for OBC Category = 11
Total OBC Category  Candidates that will Qualify for Mains = 11 x 20 = 220

In SC category Cut off will be around 95-105 Marks ( -5/+5).

Total Posts for SC Category = 11
Total SC Category  Candidates that will Qualify for Mains = 11 x 20 = 220

In ST category Cut off will be around 90-95 Marks ( -5/+5).

In ST Category there will be Very hard competition and will have very high Cut off or almost equal to general Category, the reason for this that there are just 2 seats of ST.

Total Posts for SC Category = 02
Total SC Category  Candidates that will Qualify for Mains = 02 x 20 = 40

Gen WFF = 01 Post x 20 = 20 candidates for Mains
