[HP Allied Exam Review] HPPSC Himachal Pradesh Subordinate Allied Services Prelims Exam 2015 Review Held on 9th August

HPPSC conducted Himachal Pradesh Subordinate Allied Services Prelims Exam 2015 on 9th August, 2015 at the various Centers in Himachal Pradesh. Exam was conducted for Total 82 Posts of various
departments i.e. Excise & Taxation Inspector, Food Inspector, Election Kanungo and Extension Officer in Industries.

This year HP Allied Exam 2015 Prelims was difficult than the previous Exam. This year level of difficulty was moderate. There were Total 200 Questions and HPPSC kept the promise of asking questions from mentioned syllabus. Most of the Questions were factual; lots of dates, years, lots of people/places oriented questions were asked which lacked the depth in the paper and it was like Rattu Type paper as it didn't test the depth of knowledge.

Some Important Points : 

• HP GK part was Game changer Section in this Exam as it consisted 60 Questions which Specifically asked about the facts/dates/places/people, Questions were not tough but were fact oriented only. For Example they Mainly asked many Questions on Rulers/Places/Things related to Places. They asked 55 Questions From Static Himachal GK part while 05 Quesions were from Himachal Current Affairs. 
  Most of the Questions were answerable easily and 40-45 was very doable in this section if you just studied HP GK at least once.

• Apart from the HP GK Section, Current Affair Section consisted 45 Questions Which were answerable very easily if you regularly read Newspapers or heard AIR Radio News or Watched News On TV.
• Polity Section consisted  20 Questions and most of them were easy except couple of confusing ones.
• Modern History was another decent section 4-5 questions related to Viceroys, few about acts during British Rules, there were 2-3 about Indian Culture.
• In Geography Section Indian Geo. Dominated the section many questions were related about the places ad related things. There were not many typical Geography questions and section was easily manageable.
• Socio-Economic Section was fact based section, so it was decent section, most of questions were answerable rest provided opportunity to Try Tukka Theoy. :P
• Science n Technology was a techno typical section and just consisted 12 questions, No Static Questions form Physics, Chemistry, Life Sciences were asked, This was a surprise.
• There were just 04 Questions from Environment & Biodiversity.
• Disaster Management consisted 04 Questions.
• HPPSC's Gandhi Prem was limited to just 05 questions this year, it was sigh of relief for most of the people.
• Apart form these there were some miscellaneous questions.

Possible Cut off Scenario :

Its not possible to predict the Accurate Cut off of this exam as Number of  Posts are very less compared to the total number of applicants applied for this exam, But if we see the nature of Exam, it was of Moderate level and most of the people will easily score around 125-130 marks, so people getting plus 125 Marks ( -5/+5) certainly will have their chances. (General Category)

In OBC category Cut off will be around 110 Marks ( -5/+5). 

In SC category it will be around 100 Marks ( -5/+5).

In ST Category there will be Very hard competition and will have very high Cut off or almost equal to general Category, the reason for this that there are just 2 seats of ST.


(With in 15-20 days commission will release the answer keys and then if you will have doubts on any questions and answers you can submit authentic proof to them.)
