      bhai you are saying right but level of exam also depend.those who are preparing religiously for HAS they will cross 120. if you think in all himachal there is only 300 to 400 preparing religiously .then cutt off may be less than 120. but I think 800 to 900 people are religiously preparing now days..

      i think this vary from (106- 125)
      taking mean approx 115 or 116.
      I think cutt off will be around this.
      anything above 120 is safest and almost sure to mains..

      The topper of HAS had 114 or something in HPAS pre.What does that imply?By your logic he must not be serious.See some people deliberately donot over attempt when negative marks are concerned.It doesnt mean that they are not serious candidates.They play safe.I am sure all serious candidates would have played safe and they would have not fallen into that trap of HPPSC.
      Those who are saying merit will be more than 120 need to have a reality check.With negative marking anything in the bracket of 50 to 53 percent with 34 seats should be a safe score.The level of the exam is always like this.

    Last time cut off was 117 for general without negative marking. This time exam was tough than last time and with equal no. Of vacancies how could the cut off will be more than 120.it would be around 105- 110 for general category

    I dont think the exam was tough. It was of the same level as was in 2016 or 2015.
    Those who are saying that cut off would be around 115 are freshers and they need to look at previous years papers as well . Look at the last year hpas . It was factual, factual and factual same as allied this year . Uski cutoff 103 gyi thi and people were predicting 120+. Few things never change in hppsc tests that cut off would be around 50-53% margin. Same goes for NT EXAM As well .
    More over this year exam has less history geography and polity questions which tend to increase the merit plus the unexlected science specially fr non science student is a big task.
    So in my opinion cut off will be around 106 mark no matter how tough or easy or how many applicant applied .
    Anyone above 110 will get a call from hppsc .

    cut off will be around 90-96 only, because no. of candidates to be selected are more. and negative marking is also there. 110 is too much to be predicted right cut off.

    at no cost cut off will cross 90 , even the students who cleared last year said the same that exam seems easy but reality is different. no body is getting high marks , i am very sure that cut off will be between 90-95 for general

    Last time OBC cut off went down to 98.So without wasting time start preparing for mains without giving heed to people , predictions.Due to introduction of neg marking it may well go below 90 as per real statistics made out of competition in our hill state.

      Dude Tina Dabi was topper in all categories. Topper cannot be defined with a category. She scored highest marks in mains + interview that's why she topped the exam and don't misinterpret the information she topped the exam in all categories but she got seat in SC category

    Cut off not above 100.... Start preparing... Last year also everyone was predicting high Cutt off of pre which ultimately was 98 and we all started preparing late for mains so was the case with Nt mains.... So above 100 start preparing.

    Answer key set karnewala khud bhi update nhi ha shayad.sahi answer ki hope karna bewkufi hoga.last year bhi yhi hua tha. 7-8 answer aise ha Jo bilkul bhi data se match nhi karte hain.hppsc ko iske baare mein sochna hoga.exam ke dusre din answer key upload kr lene ki jaldi mein sahi answer dena hi bhul gye.answer key revise hogi pr usme bhi jyada ummid nhi kr sakte.

    experience says, no cutoff in any way can go beyond 105 for General, gaurantee, beside this representations to send r important to those who are on the border line. Start preparing for mains who r getting more then hundreds marks.

    Just to add to the above seven questions - another ambiguous question which was asked was about "Father of DNA" and the answer mapped to it in the official key is Larji .. it is an incomplete question it seems as "Father of DNA" is James Watson while in Indian connotation "Father of DNA Fingerprinting" is Larji... the closest among the options should be Hargobind Khurana if seen likewise !

    Continuing my cut off predictions.. General category 100+/-5..see my last year#2016 predictions general 115+/-1 and#2015 general 120+/-5...both times accurate. 2015 general cut off 117 and 2016 general cut off 115. This year a bit low because of negative marking and increase in number of seats. Thanks all.

      95+ after correction. Make sure you are not getting less than 90 in any case right now. As per my personal experience negative marking is magic wand this time. 90 right now is the last safe point and 95 after revision by hppsc. Thanks

      He has already predicted the cut off in his previous blog please refer to it. Result will take about 3 - 4 months even more. The ques that will be scrapped will solely be decided by hpppsc so nobody would be knowing it wait for yhe revised answer keys that will be released alongwith prelims result....
