RESULT
Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission today declared the final results of HPAS and
Allied Services for 30 posts of various categories. The interviews were concluded on Saturday.
Ms. Rakhee Singh topped the list of successful candidates of HPAS and Mr Vishrut Bharati
stood second whereas third position was bagged by Ms. Priyanka Chandra in the HPAS.
45,373 (forty five thousand three hundred seventy three) applications were received for the
admission to aforesaid examinations, out of which 41063 (forty one thousand sixty three) candidates were admitted provisionally for preliminary written test.
25,235 (twenty five thousand two hundred thirty five candidates had appeared in HPAS
preliminary examinations-2014 held on 07-06-2015 out of which 612 (Six hundred twelve) candidates qualified for the Main Written examinations. 464 (four hundred sixty four) candidates had appeared in HPAS Main Written examinations held w.e.f. 12th September, to 23 September, 2015.
Finally, 84 (Eighty four) candidates qualified for viva-voce which was held w.e.f. 21-12-2015 to 30- 12- 2015.
Sh. K.S. Tomar, Chairman, Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission expressed satisfaction over timely declaration of the HPAS results. He said that a lot of enthusiasm was witnessed amongst the aspirants.
Sh Tomar said “I had introduced a new innovative system in the history of commission which
pertained to giving the option to each candidate for giving interview either in Hindi or English which
helped the aspirants especially from rural areas who faced a lot of problem in communicating in English”
Sh. Tomar disclosed that new innovation of providing option to the candidates to give interview either in Hindi or English has paid rich dividends. He said eighty to ninety percent candidates specially from rural areas opted for Hindi as a language in the interview.
He also said,” as a Chairman of Standing Committee of National Conference of State Public Service Commissions of India, I would request other Chairpersons to introduce this innovation in their institutions as it will help those talented candidates who lack Communication skill”
Sh.Tomar said “I told the experts of the interview board that our purpose is to pick up the best Talent and lack of communication skill was acting as an impediment to those candidates from rural
background who did not have the privilege of getting themselves enrolled in the Public Schools”
The Chairman also stated that Toll Free service which was introduced by him in August,2013
has paid rich dividends since its inception it has helped thousands of aspirants who appeared in various competitive examinations conducted by the Commission.
He said as against 30,219 callers in 2014, the number of callers has now swelled to 48,983 in 2015 (62.09% increase). This shows the growing interest of the young generation for various types of jobs, he said.

Sh. Tomar further stated that, 43,379 applications were received during 2013, out of which 4,353 (10.03%) applications were rejected for want of Examination fee etc. and in HPAS-2014 Examination, 45,373 applications were received, out of which 4,310 (9.48%) applications were rejected. The percentage of rejection came down sharply by 0.54% because of induction of Toll Free Centre.”
