Introduction:

A competitive examination name Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services (HPAS) is a Combined Examination for the recruitment of various Posts held in Himachal Pradesh by Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission Situated in Shimla. Prelims are Mainly conducted in Shimla, Solan, Mandi, Dharamshala, Nahan, Una, Hamirpur and Chamba Centers, followed by Main Written Exams and Interview at Shimla.

  13. Assistant Controller, Weights & Measure Class 2 


Eligibility Criteria :
  1. Must be a Citizen of India.
  2. Must possess Bachelor's Degree in any Stream or Subject from a recognized University.
  3. Candidate in final year of his Bachelor's Degree can also apply.
  4. Candidates who have completed their final professional MBBS or any other equivalent Medical examination but have not completed their internship can also apply for HAS examination but they need to submit, copy of the qualifying examination certificate along with application. At the time of interview they need to provide original degree certificate including the completion of internship.
  5. Candidate must have attained the age of 21 years of 1st January the year in which he or she will apper in the exam.
  6. Candidate must not have attained the age of 35 years.
  7. Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/BACHKWARD AREA/OTHERS .
  8. Relaxation For Government Employes 42 years.

Paper 1 : General Studies     100 Multiple Choice Questions     200 Mark

  • History, Geography, Political, Art & Culture & Social Economic Development of Himachal Pradesh.   

  • History of India & Indian National Movement.

  • India & World Geography.

  • Indian Polity and Governance - Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights issues etc.

  • Economic & Social development - Sustainable Development & Poverty , Inclusion , Demographic , Social Sector Development etc.

  • General Issue on Environmental Ecology , Biodiversity & Climate change. 

  • Current Events of National and international Importance.

 

Paper 2 : Aptitude Test          100 Multiple Choice Questions     200 Marks

  • Interpersonal Skills including Communication Skills 

  • Comprehension  

  • Logical Reasoning & Analytical Ability

  • Decision Making & Problem Solving  

  • General Mental Ability

  • Basic Numeracy  (Class 10th Level )

  • Data Interpretation ( Charts, Graphs, Tables, Data Sufficiency ) (Class 10th Level)

  • English Language Communication Skills (Class 10th Level )   

     
Some Important things to Remember:
  1. Negative Marking of 1/3 is applicable if you tick wrong answer.
  2. More than one Answers will be considered to be incorrect.
  3. No attempt means No marks No Negative Marking. :)

  5. relaxation for govt employees is 42 years. But please clarify this defence personnel of himachal pradesh are come under this clause or not?

    1. its your present age minus service rendered in armed forces eg: present age = 35, and service rendered in armed forces 14 yrs so its 35-14=21 yrs rgds Lt Cdr Sachin Verma, VSM,UJRP

    1. negative, however you can take NOC from concern HQs. For Officers its only possible after due release from service but you can apper in the exam in the last yr of service. However for NCOs/ JCOs after getting approval frm CA they can shift to HAS
